Hose Dnagling From Front End
Hose Dnagling From Front End
I had to drive through some road construction yesterday to get to the gun club. When I parked the truck I nocticed something hanging off the passenger side of the truck. It appears to be hose comming from what I think is the actuator. The hose is attached to what looks like a small electrical divice located on the back of the front axel on the passenger side. I don't think it is anything serious because the hose has a cap on the end. Could anybody tell me what this is and if it would ok to shorten the hose and put the cap back on it? I'm guessing that it was clipped to the frame or one of the other hoses that is down and clips just old and busted off.

Sounds like the front axle vent line. The cap should be a check valve. The upper end of the vent attaches beneath the air filter, so the check valve/breather is at a high point away from road dust and moisture.
