HO in a SO
I am in need of a new motor I have found a Ho with low miles is there anything I need to look at before putting it in my SO auto truck?
It comes complete head to toe.

First off, is it the same year? Several little changes were made. the biggest was delete the crank sensor in 2001 as I remember.
All HO's were manual trans equiped. So the PCM from your SO auto must stay. There have been reports of conflict when using a SO pump in a HO ECM not working. The HO pump may work (????) with a SO ECM, so you may be O'K there. And you have both ECM's and both a HO and SO pump at this time. You should be able to get her to run correct, unless different years mess with you. No warranty implied.
