High rpm miss
High rpm miss
Since this is my first post, I'll start by saying hello to everyone. Nice forum, lots of info.
I did search, and most of the questions regarding an engine miss are at idle or low rpm.
Mine runs fine up to around 2500 rpm and starts to cut out. The tach will fall and rise rapidly in about a 500 rpm interval and the power just goes away. It seems to smooth out if I continue to go faster, but that's not really practical.
It shows no codes if I use the key on/off method, goes straight to P done.
I've owned it for 6000 miles, currently it has 188xxx. The previous owner recently replaced the lift and injector pumps, but I'm not sure how far ago(they look brand new, the rest of the engine is oily).
I have only noticed this in OD, I will drive in D later today to see if there is any change. In park, it revs freely.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

sounds like it might be defueling, mine does the same thing but I have a drag comp, which is suppose to let it run passed the defueling ecm limit of 2700rpms. Do you know what your fuel pressure is at that high rpm, mine is 11 to 12psi.
