High Output problems??

High Output problems??

What problems does the HO have ?
does it have the same lift pump problems and stuff like that as the SO?

Yes, in my case. I replaced the lift pump then the injector pump at 60,000 miles last month.

Dealer just replaced my lift pump yesterday. And a check valve on the return line of the fuel system. I don't feel to bad my truck just turned 42k.

I went through 4 LP's in 80,000 miles. No IP's though. Get a FP guage and keep an eye on it. Other than that I haven't had any problems that weren't my fault.

They have the same problems, some more than others. I only have 38,000 on mine and no problems yet But I don't have very many miles on the truck. After reading all the posts I'm sure my time will come. I just do what I can by putting lubricating additives in with my fuel and watch my gauges, and don't worry about it! I sure love to drive the truck

I have 142K on mine and still have original LP and IP.

HO and SO have the same lift pump. The only difference is the Vp44 injection pump.
Both have alot of problems with the lift pump. Just because a truck is an HO does not mean it will have more or less problems with the lift pump.
