is it a high output??
Cummins Rocky Mountain.
Paid right around $50, that is on the high end of what others have been paying.
I'd say it was worth it.
Got rid of the crappy stock airbox and am flowing much more air.
35K miles on it thus far, and it's looking a little soiled,
but nothing like the stock filter it replaced with only 10K on it.

What we refer to as the Big Honkin' Air Filter is usually the dry paper kind, disposable.
Systems on Ebay are most likely K&N or AFE, which use oiled foam or guaze filters, cleanable and reoilable.
IMHO, Turbo Diesels flow too much air for the average oiled filters, and tend to suck the oil out and deposit it on the turbo blades and in the intercooler.
Then dust and dirt is attracted to the oil, throwing the turbo blades out of balance, and clogging up the intercooler.
Once the oil is sucked out, the filter can't keep the dirt out.
That's just little ole me's opinion though.
