Hello guys. This is my second post and I am just wondering about this high mileage 2000 3500 Ram. I cant get any info about what the previous owner did with the motor. The odometer shows 270k on it. After looking at the motor for quite a while it looks like the head was reconditioned although I have not had a bright light under the hood.(the truck is in the next town up and I cant get there until late afternnoons. Taking home on Monday) The Freeze plugs and fuel lines and some other components look new. The motor aside from probably needing new batteries runs perfect. Tranny shifts good. Underneath it looks like it has a slow oil leak around the rear main or pan gasket. Of course there are no gauges (yet) to tell me about fuel system. But with 270k it must have been changed a few times by now. The body interior and exterior are mint and everything works. Question is I cant afford the newer rigs right now and am trying to figure out if I should put some gaskets and $ for vn and lp if it needs it. Or should I let this dually go? I was going to run it for about two years which would be around 35k miles here in Naples Florida.
