HIGH fuel psi anyone?

ok guys here my problem..FYI: raptor fuel pump(18 psi at idle), big line from tank, ..PROBLEM: fuel pressure gauge stops at 30 and pressure pegs out on it at start up n stays there while driving unless under heavy throttle it will drop down to where it is suppose to be, but it will go right back up(very fast)..pulled the return line off n it wasnt really pumping that much out so i just fighured it was the overflow valve but i changed it out yesterday n still no change..any suggestions? im sure its prob not good on the pump to sit there with that much pressure on it.

Install a fuel regulator set to 15psi. This will allow plenty of fuel to the VP and not strain the seals on the factory fuel filter housing. I used the regulator that came w/the holley blue. Good now for 2+ years.

The Pure Flow Raptor I have has a built in pressure regulator. Mine is about 20psi @ idle and hangs out around 12-15 psi with normal driving/towing.

yep mine has a built it regulator...set at 18 psi n usually drops to 10 or 11 under heavy throttle...thinkin the return line might be stopped up in between the overflow and the line going along the frame back to the tank
