Im stumped on the answer of why my 01 Dodge duallie is running high egt's. Maybe one of you can answer this puzzling question. I have a 5.9 Cummins with the following upgrades, 110 injectors, Banks high ram intake, ATS manifold, Fass electric fuel pump, HX35 turbo, 4" open exhuast w/ Banks 4' elbow, TST Power box, BHAF. The tansmission has been over hauled with a heavy hauler package Klevlar clutches and SunCoast convertor and shift kit.
The question is I can NOT get this dang truck to run cooler egt's and it has gotten worse !. I have made sure there is NO leaks from the turbo, manifold, and hoses. Someone is telling me to take the inter cooler out and give it to a radiator shop to see if the could clean it out. It is not visiblly clogged from what I can see, and Im not sure if that is possible. Im running out of options. Thanxs for any of your suggestions!!!

My egts when I floor it and the boost starts rising so does the egts. I naturally back off the throttlre not to do any damage. I have seen for a quick moment going up hill with our gooseneck trailor loaded a egt temp at 1400, but then again I had to back the throttle off! I have another exact 01 duallie like this one with the only difference in the upgrades is that this one has a stock turbo, HX30 with a J-hook on it. It never gets hot.

Ok today I poured a EDIT load of soapy water over the turbo to the intake and found a huge leak from the ATS 3 piece manifold where they meet. Would this account for high egts???
if your still getting 30-32 pounds of boost I don't think thats teh issue, seperate one though.
More boost out of that turbo and your gonna push hot air and raise EGT's?
I'm stumped. Sorry mang, only been here 6 months

Here is one of the pics of my ATS manifold that is leaking. This should make quite a difference in my egts, I assume, seeing that the exhaust gas temp are leaking out before they get to the turbo?? What do you guys think??
I don't think 1400 is unreasonable for the mods listed. The manifold should seal up when heated, but if it didn't, you would see soot spray...and a lack of spool up and/or boost. 1400 is COOL compared to what I've seen for the past two years.
