I'm trying to replace the tranny line that runs from the passenger side at the transmission, up to the cooler at the grille. I don't know how to undo the connection from the rubber cooler line to the metal tranny line. Can someone help me out, it's cold outside and it's getting dark!

 

Tim Barber to the rescue. Evidently you need a tool like they use on AC lines. 1/2" diameter, from napa or wherever. Clamps over the hose on and lets you slide the line out.

 

They have an upgrade on those lines. They don't use the quick connectors anymore. Some folks are using JIC with 1/4" hydraulic hose.

The dealer gets big dollars for them.
