You could talk to user Bigblue, I'm pretty sure he runs the holley alone.

I think 2 holley blue's may be overkill, I got the impression that any more than 14 psi isnt necessary, but dont quote me on it. Blackdiesel was also a big help to me when I was installing the pump.

Also, I had been running about 25 psi with the holley and in tank pump. This was with no mods, and I couldn't pull it down under 24. I added the reg. for fear of too much pressure, and its holdin over 10 w/ smarty and the TST. I may take the reg. off someday.
i have the vulcan big line kit installed, i did it when i bypassed the stock lp.

Wow,

After searching the forums I found some people with the same problem I am having! Massive changes in the fuel pressure. I too had a new IP and LP installed about 6 months ago. About two weeks ago I installed the Big Fuel Kit and was getting 25/20. Now it is all over the place. I disconnected the holley and bumped the starter. I heard the in tank pump running and the gauge said 6 psi, but as soon as I turned on the truck, it dropped to 0. So does this mean that the intank pump is shot?

thats a tough one, i will be getting a new lp tommorrow, will let you know what happens.
i hope our sending units arent acting up, since we both got quadzilla.
if this next lp dies i m gonna run another holley on the frame and ditch the stock lp.

well it didnt, its time again. my fuel pressure has dropped from 23-24 to 20psi @ idle sometimes 18-19. so i guess its on going out again. its only been 3months and a few thousand miles. i guess i ll wait till it drops a little more then exchange it again, this will be my 4th lp.
BTW if anyone is wondering why i am still messing around with the stock lp, cause i paid $200 bucks(napa) for it and its still got warranty left on it. i will keep doing this till the warranty expires.

My fuel pressure is doing the same thing. Goes from 13 down to 5 and all over the place. Doesnt matter if i'm idling or running 75 mph, it doesn't discriminate. I have a stock lift pump but have a Walbro pump in the garage I am getting ready to put on. I'll let you know how that goes when I get it done.

But my question is, does it matter that I didn't bleed the air out of the line for the fuel pressure gage. I used a needle valve that i cracked open, and 1/8" tubing up to my gage in the cab. I did not bleed the air out of the 1/8" line at the gage because I dont think I would have been able to avoid getting it all over the seat and dash. Could that be part of the problem with erratic prssures?

im not sure about the air in your fuel line. i think its just these cheap lift pumps, that suck! like i said, im only still messing wit the stocker is b/c its under warranty. i know my lp is going out. i use to get 24-25psi @idle brand new and its been slowing dropping to 20psi @idle and sometimes 14-16. im not worried just aggravated.
i hope your lp isnt going out, good luck.

Just a note, when I installed my walbro, I had a lot of air in the lines. My pressure read low and was really pathetic. I blead the system at the fuel filter and it is much better now. I wish there was a bleed screw on the fuel pressure cap of the 01s and above. That would make it much easier.

Are any / all of you running your Holley's via direct power from the original lift pump or are you running it thru a relay first? Just looking at a theory.

Any of you all ever think of getting a nice solid fuel system that might cost a little money, i did the same thing with these stocklift pumps then after the forth one i just got tired of fooling with them and bought a mechanical pump and havent touched it since i installed it.
