help with my dads dodge

My dad has a 2000 dodge 24v and the other day he was shifting from 4th to 5th and it just quit running . It was like you just turnd the key off. It is getting fuel to fuelpump and fuel is clean but it will not start please help.

Turn the key to on-off-on-off-on and look at the odometer. Oh...don't turn it all the way to start...just on. Let us know if you see any codes displayed on the OD...

Did you crack the lines to the injectors and see if you have fuel while you are cranking? IF it was me i would also replace the fuel filter just to eliminate it.

p1693 is a companion code, it means you have another code in the ECM and PCM....probably p1688 and p1689

i forgot to mention p1688 andp1689 means the injection pump is toast
loosen a couple of injector lines an crank the engine a little...if no fuel,replace inj pump

Does your dad have a fuel pressure gauge?? it is a must on a Vp44 !!!
