Hello, I need some help with a P1693 error code my truck set yesterday. :P I know the code was set by my comp box and is associated with the ECM but I was wondering if there was some way to remove the code without going to the *******?? I was able to get the check engine light to go out with 4 engine starts with the comp box unpluged. Any help would really be appreciated. <br>

 

try unhooking your batteries overnight it might reset it

 

You can try Autozone.<br>They read and reset codes for free,<br>well most of them do.<br><br>They might not be able to get into the ECM though, just the PCM, and it sounds like you got that one to clear with the 4 starts.<br>Cummins might be the only ones able to dig deep enough to clear the 1693 if it didn't clear itself as well.<br><br><br><br>phox
