Hard start issues 24v
I have a 99 24v 5 speed truck just getting ready for a cab swap .
Went out the other day and for the first time in 15 years she rolled over and did not want to start.
symptom's are as followed.
Rolled over with lots of battery power . after 10 seconds I stop the rolling . then tried again. still no start .
applied about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle . after two times at about 15 seconds each the engine fired and was running strong .
Shut the engine off . tried starting again and no problem . drove for a couple hundred klms. and it ran fine . started and stopped on the trip a couple of times with no issues.
Next morning got in the truck rolled over and fired no problem . BUT ONLY RAN FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND DIED!
Did the throttle thing again and away she went .
seems to be running out of fuel after it sits . AND NO ENGINE LIGHT ISSUES AT ALL
Any thoughts ?

It IS running out of fuel... not only is it a known problem for the fuel line to crack and allow air into the line after sitting but not leak fuel until it get a lot worse that coupled with the fact there are no codes and the way you describe the symptoms sounds like air getting in. My 2001 did a similar thing but it was only about a year old so that ruled out a deteriorated fuel line, I had recently changed the fuel filter and bled the line at the idolator for the fuel pressure gauge, I had taken out the Allen screw and not realized I had dropped the ball bearing that did the sealing, the Allen screw sort of sealed and kept it from leaking but after sitting overnight it let air in and it wouldn't start as normal.
Your symptoms are similar to what I had. Eventually it wouldn't start at all. Priming the system didn't really help. Turned out to be the injection pump and had to replace it. In the process of elimination, I eliminated the drain back problem with a check valve.

SO I went out and tried to start the truck yesterday morning . It started right up with no issues . So if what im being told I have a leak in the line some where . so know im on the look out . I will update once I know .

You may not find a "leak" as in fuel leaking out, what you probably have is a very small hole/crack that will allow air in rather than draw down into a vacuum, a vacuum will show a leak more that pressure will. The cost of fuel line is cheap then if it still does it it could be the draw straw into or in the tank itself.
"Drain back" most often occurs in the return fuel side on these trucks, but not always. If parking nose down helps, then the leak is in the return side. The drain back occurs in the supply side even though the leak is in the return side. It breaks the vacuum that holds the fuel in the line. Common location is at the back of the head were the fuel injector return line appears. It also shows up after any injector work when the tubes are disturbed. Even though mine was not leaking, I opted to install a 1 way check valve in the supply line back at the fuel tank. Now way it can drain back now.
