I got stuck in quite a large snowbank last night and now ive got issues. Was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas as to what let loose? I was getting pulled out backwards when suddenly i lost all power to the wheels foward and reverse. This morning we took a tractor out to drag it out of the snow and the rest of the way home. I had to get the transfer case in neutral or else the tires would all slide in 4wd or the rears in 2wd. once i got turned around i could be pulled forward just fine in any t-case position. when we got it to the yard i stuck in in 4wdl and wound out the rpm a little an it will try to go forward but reverse is like a powerful park brake. Just curious if any one had any ideas what it might be as it may be awhile b4 i get around to working on it.

 

A quick guess would either be a broken ring gear/pinion or busted reverse planetary gear. Total guess though.

 

I wondered if a broken rev planetary would cause that. Goerend is building me a tranny as we speak!!
