GOOD shop in Alberta ??

Does anyone know of a good diesel shop in Alberta,Canada??
I'm having real bad isses with fuel pressure and possibly the computer.See my continuos (sp?) at https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=125768

It's either fix it or trade it off on a 1/2 gas pot.

Thanks,Ragg

Could try GCL in Edmonton. They are an actual diesel shop, NADP doesn't, or didn't, have diagnostic equipment. I went there when my IP took a dump. Or could try a dealer or Cummins. Either way, a shop isn't going to be cheap, and electical problems are usually hard to track down.

Did you put the campain pump in? I just installed a Holley Blue on the frame rail. Picked it up at a speed shop in Calgary for $150. I bolted it to the frame rail and then just cut the stock fuel line and plumbed it in with some rubber line. Power came via a relay triggerd off the stock pump wiring. Pretty easy to do. The biggest problem with the stock pump setup is that it has to lift so faar from the tank. Pumps work better pushing than pulling so relocating the pump closer to the tank is always a good idea.

What codes are you getting. Cycle the key three times to get the codes displayed on the dash. What are its symptoms?

If all else fails my sister is thinking of selling her '01 1/2ton gas pot to get a CTD......

Well,I got the truck back last night. The tech pretty much pin pointed it as a 5psi restriction through the banjo fittings.I could buy a change up type kit from Geno's Garage for about $114 U.S.,but,I can order them through a local supplier for $100 CDN.I'll install them next week when they get here and give you all an update.Once the dollars allow,I think I'm gonna put on a F.A.S.S. kit.
Thanks guys.

FYI if the pump is working good then you shoud have more than 5psi even with the stock bango fittings. Even with just my stock pump and bango fittings I saw 10psi at idle and never experienced any "bucking" or missing at WOT, even with the edge set on level 5. With the holley blue pushing into the stock pump and then pushing thru the stock bango fittings I see 29psi at idle and never drop below 15psi.

Is your truck stock?

I've got 13.5 psi at idle at the lift pump but it drops 5 psi at the inj pump.Basically, the fuel running thru the 5 banjo fittings = a 5 psi drop. And that's just at idle.

OK,last post was Jan of this year.NOW,after a few months of driving and after changing ALL my banjo fittings out, this is a completly different truck. The low fuel light NEVER even thinks of coming on AND there is gobs of power.I can even get the back tire to spin if I take off the hard.
I don't think this truck is going to be for sale anytime soon.

THANKS GUYS.
