Buddy of mine has a 01 2500, and his fuel tank is leaking when empty not full. It seems to be leaking from the top middle of the tank. What would cause it to leak empty and not full? Thanks

 

Top middle is where fuel tank module is mounted. O-ring, tubes, vent ect are located. Might want to drop tank and lookey/see.

 

I would drop the tank and see what is going on as well. But I think it is funny that it happens when the fuel is low. It seems that if the fuel canister seal is leaking or the return line/ feed line it would leak when the tank is fuel and possible when it is near empty.

 

I know the whole leaking when empty thing has baffled me....

 

Its easier to pull the bed off, about 8 bolts, use impact, unhook wiring
