fuel pump question
the fuel will flow though a bad pump, they have a bypass built in. and you will notice a drop in fuel pressure. you read about all the guys that there lift pump goes out and there there injection pump goes out, they don't just both die on the spot the truck will run only on the injection pump. I am not saying it's good for it thats why they go bad. So ya it will push or pull fuel though a bad pump
i unhooked the power to my carter on the pump truck lost about all fuel pressure and after about 30 seconds truck started cutting out and ran like crap same thing if you unhooke the holley blue pump.
I too am running a duel pump setup. In tank pump plus campaign pump on engine. Eric from Vulcan said he recommended that I install a DrawstrawII and rout the line coming out of the tank above the in tank pump and tee it in, that way if the in tank pump dies the engine mounted pump can still function correctly. Anyone out there installed a DrawstrawII?

Just got off the Glacier/Walboro pump site...check it out...don't bother with the 2 pump setup..go with the 392 setup from Glacier..that is if you want piece of mind and steady FP readings...
Regardless of which pump you run scook6 will need the draw straw. If he is from MD the DTR chapter #33 will help him put it in. Already done 1 & I have a lift that makes dropping the tank easy.
