Fuel Pressure Gauge/Isolator install
Fuel Pressure Gauge/Isolator install
Hi Guys, I ordered an ISSPRO fuel Pressure gauge with an isolator from Diesel Performance PArts.
The Isolator instructions tell me I need to fill the gauge and isolator with 'fluid'
What are they talking about? Water? Should I fill the 'gauge' side of the isolator and the gauge itself with water??

this is the fuel guage going into my truck to replace the POS thats in there. can't see it in the pic but theres a small rubber plug in the 12oclock position just behind the bezel. it doubles as a vent and fill port.
If you use a needle valve with the Isolator, you will have very little problems. At least that is what I have experienced. The isolator needs to be filled with 50/50 antifreeze. 50% water, 50% antifreeze. This allows the antifreeze to be a little thinner and work the gauge better.
Given a little time...you will remove the isolator. They are nothing but headaches. Needle valve to stop the lift pump pulsation and your good to go. Tried a number of isolators and now they are sitting in my tool box taking up space...
