I don'r know about the 12v, but in the 24v you can get better fuel miliege unless you go over board. I get about 1 mile to the gal. better. If you keep your foot in it you will probably get worse. When you open that 24v up it runs better and more efficent.

Kimrey

My ole 12 valve, auto, long box, entended cab, 3:54 rear (96) CTD would get 21-22 on the hwy at 75mph. My 24v same rear
6 speed dually, is quite a bit less. Best is 18-19 on the hwy at 70. More than 70 and it drops fast. The dual rear wheels don't help. You need to hear from some one without the dual rear wheels for the mileage to be realistic.

Dave

Don't know about the 12V but on the past two trips to Virginia, I averaged 23.8 mpg on my 24V! I'm a real light foot and usually drive for economy. Crusing speed is mainly around 65mph and I've never passed 70.

I drive with a heavy foot and the 3500 will still get 16-17 in town. Usally drops out on the hiway, because of the heavy foot. 2500 will do 21-22 on the hiway with the wife driving. She has a small foot.
