Fuel milage
I am not really sure how to check on the truck...
I took mine off and I couldnt move it with a prybar, I was ready to play and that just gave me the justification to the other half.
Ime sure someone else can chime in as to a way to check on the truck.

If you have access to a regulated air supply you can set it to 20 psi and plug it into the wastegate actuator. By cycling the pressure between 0 and 20 psi you should see the movement.
Don't go over 21 psi on a stock truck, potential damage mentioned in the service manual.
On some trucks I noticed that since they never got up to boost the wastegate was stuck parially open which caused much lag and doggy perf. on the 12Vs- and bad mileage too.
