fuel lubricant

hey guy, i'm shopping for a new vp-44 pretty much made up my mind on the Blue Chip, the thing i was wondering is if i should be running howes fuel conditioner all year to compensate for the lack of sulfer in the fuel, and does anyone else think that maybe the lack of sulfer is helping to eat up the vp-44?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Plenty post on using walmart 2 cycle oil or lately the use of at least 2% biodiesel. Either is better than canned additives. And cheaper.

I've researched this quite a bit and found that doing anything to help lubricate the vp-44 is better than straight ULSD #2. Bio ranks highest for adding lubricity. I use Power Service white bottle year round. Around here its cheapest at NAPA and is now super concentrated so I use 1 oz. to 3 gal ratio. I run about 15K miles/year so the $145.00 it costs is negligible to replacing the IP.

Its already filtered in the engine . as long as you use a clean container I just dump it in the tank .I have done this for 30 years and my 90 has run it since new.BUT! I recently stopped because CA, is busting people for it and its a $1000 . if you get caught .I was pulled in to a check point last week and given a dip test, I was clean thank God. this is the 2nd time this year I was Dipped
once in Sacramento once 80 miles north of sac..the budget crises has caused the state to go after cash anywhere they can steal it !

i use an old tshirt over the diesel fuel cans when I transfer from the drain pan to the fuel cans then when i fill up with new fuel i dump the oil in first and then top off the tank, i never put more than 4-5 gals of used motor oil per full tank of fuel. The truck dont smoke any more than it normally would.
