front wheel squeeks when in four wheel drive

On my dads 03 cummins, it will squeek up by the drivers side front wheel when in four wheel drive. It wont do it in two wheel drive, is there a bearing going out or something. It only does it when the wheel starts turning. Thanks
Oh, we did check the u joint and it seems fine, I wonder if the bearing is going out. It will only do it in four wheel drive.

Likely a bad axle u-joint, especially since they are not greaseable.

x3, even though the u-joints turn all the time, they will show their wear when they are loaded up, as is the case when in 4WD.

They don't all turn ...all the time. Only after mid 2002.
The CAD (Axle Disconnect) could explain the squeek. Need to engage 4x4 every once in a while to keep everything lubed up!

I had a rotational squeek after getting lazy about using 4x4 regularly. Engaged it once a day for a week and the squeek went away!

With or without the CAD, the axle u-joints turn all the time, unless you have installed a locking hub kit.

Yup! Sorry, did not read all the posts. Thought your post was about the front drive shaft u-joint.
