front axle leak

front axle leak

I got a drivers side axle leak,I know I have read this fix is a pain in the butt,but has anyone done them and if so any tricks I should know about?

Biggest trick is to wait if there has been any front end work done recently or the differental is over filled to more than 3/4" below the fill hole. Most leaks will stop by 500 miles or so after the work has been done or after the the fluid is at the correct level.

Seals are shot. Mine is doing the same thing. Looks like quite a job. Good luck.

Might want to check with your dealer and see what they want to do the seals.
It used to be rated at $125, well worth it.
