Freeze plug cover
Good morning to all. I have a pain in the EDIT freeze plug that does not want to seal properly. Passenger side, last one. Anyway, it blew yesterday. I had to limp for about 10 minutes home. I checked the oil, all is well, anyway, has anyone just covered the hole and not worry about this. Is that even an option.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

you know I had this problem on a VW with the freeze plug poped out, I ran a tempary plug in there for 2 years, the kind that is 2 washer with rubber in the middle then when you tighten the bolt it expands, but ya it took it self out one day and left me stranded. to to fill the hole the easy way I put a 2nd block heater in that hole. hey best $20 I ever spent for me it was that or pulling the motor in winter. just throwing an idea out there for ya. I like that a block heater uses a spreader and bolt to hold it in not expanding rubber. hope it helps. Cole
