Remove the turbo? I think you'll find you will have to remove it at some point during the install.

I reached some of the tough bolts from underneath....a long wrench and a rubber mallet to break them loose. Decent room from there.

I left my turbo where it was...just unbolted it and removed the plastic air ducting.

I took off the intake hose from the filter, and unbolted the turbo from the manifold first, let the exhaust and high pressure pipe to the intercooler support the turbo. Used a ratchet or a doubled up wrench to break the bolts loose. Used the ratchet and an allen key with a wrench looped on to install the new manifold. I don't know if the HTT comes assembled (think it does), but the ATS I got came disassembled. We clamped one of the end sections to the original manifold. Heated up the center section in the oven, slipped it on to the end section clamped to the old manifold, then slipped in the last end section. Let it cool and then it'll hold its shape during installation. Only needed a dead blow to get the first bolt started on the end sections, rest was cake.

Good time to drill and tap that new exh manifold for an EGT if you don't have one already...then no chance for the filings to go into the turbo.
