Every thing broke at the same time!

I was driving the other day and had dead petal and check engine light.I scanned the codes and it said I had a bad throttle positioning sensor, failed lift pump, and a bad injection pump.Is it possible for everything to go at once like that.Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Well, it didn't go bad all at once, you just pulled the codes and found the list of stuff to fix. You need to do more preventive maintenance.

Get a fuel pressure guage, after you install a new LP & IP.

I replaced the lift pump and tps both within the last year and a half when the truck was still under warantee. This the first time i have seen the check engine light since ive owned the truck.I also plan on adding a second fuel pump to try to avoid any problems down the road.

First thing fill in you signature so we know what you got...

Second off... Do you have any gauges in your truck? If not I would HIGHLY SUGGEST you get a set quickly!

Now as for the error codes I'm sure you didn't get them all at once. The LP pump was failing for a long time before it throws a code, then the IP (VP44 pump) must been without fuel pressure for sometime to throw a code. (Fuel pressure gauge could of saved you here!)

As for the APPS sensor just do a APPS reset and all is well...

A lot of money could of been saved if you bought a set of gauges!

You need to find Fuel Pressure, Pyrometer, and Boost Pressure. In that order... If you have a automatic transmission add a Transmission Temperature.

This will help you pretect you investment from getting damaged. Being anything that you got to repair usually costs more than a gasoline engine by far!

But like you found out if you knew your lift pump was dieing (Fuel pressure gauge) you could of saved a lot of money on the replacement of you VP44 injection pump!

Like you I learned to late too... I lost a LP and VP44 but I was still under warranty. 50K miles... That was the whole reason why I got the gauges...
