Enough Fuel Pressure?

I recently replaced the VP and lift pump, probably about 2 months ago. When I replaced it I installed an "Idiot" light. Here within the past week I have noticed the light was blinking a bit more than usual so I replaced the fuel filter and still was doing it. So today I went out and bought some things to make my own big line kit and have to get the special metric flare unions on Monday when my local speed shop opens. Anyway I had a spare FP guage that I used to run at the carb on my race car so I thought I would rig it up and take it for a spin just to make sure.

This is what I had:
13 PSI @ Idle
10.5-12 PSI driving at 60-65
5.5 PSI at WOT
I have an Edge EZ and aftermarket 5" exhaust. Is this FP acceptable? I don't want to take any chances with the VP going again.

Also I have ordered the Edge Juice with attitude, mainly for all the monitoring the attitude brings you, and I got a really good deal on a factory rebuilt unit. Will the big line kit help keep the FP falling off some @ WOT? Also is the 5.5 PSI @ WOT OK, and will the Juice make the LP work even harder. I am not sure if I should be looking for a replacement LP. Just want some suggestions.

Your fuel pressure is perfect fine, imo.

Well, you know your light works. Sure wouldn't hurt to start lookin at a replacement lift pump.

That sounds workable but I like mine to be about 14psi WOT so I know I'm bypassing fuel at the VP and getting maximum lubrication and cooling.... The stock LP isn't going to give you much more than 10-15psi at idle. Relocating it to the bed frame helps, too.

I have a big line kit on my 01. I also have a low fuel pressure light & a fuel pressure gauge. My light flickers on hard acceleration, but the gauge shows plenty of pressure. I think the sending unit for the light just doesn't like the vibration from the IP.
