engine weight??
I am looking at buying an engine stand and thought i might as well get one to hold the cummins. What is the weight of complete engine and the weight of the short block only?

Complete engine with all accessories attached is around 1100 lbs. 1045 is a little conservative but I don't know what accessories are included in that weight. Either way, I'm splitting hairs....get a 1500 lb engine stand - that is fairly standard size.
