engine light
Started my truck yesterday afternoon and noticed the engine light was on.Checked
codes ( via. keyswitch) 1693 only. Truck runs normal. Went to work today truck ran
fine, engine light still on. Went to lunch ,noticed the tach needle dropping to zero
than coming back up. It did it about 6-7 times than tach back to normal.Came home
from work tach worked fine.Checked codes again when I got home,1693.
Any thoughts ? Could it be a cam or crank sensor going bad?

There is only one of those sensors on your truck though,
I can never remember which one is still there, but I'm sure it was the one hardest to get to.
