Engine Defuels

This has happened three times so far...Bought the truck a month ago put 4K on it so far...has 188K on it now and the LP and VP were replaced at 171K. What happens is the trucks check engine light comes on and the engine derates to idle. I can have my foot all the way into it and it just idles. The first two times it happened I shut it of and restarted it and the power came back and the check engine light would go off. When it happened today I was in traffic so I couldnt shut her down so it had my foot into it for a second or two then it started sending fuel to it again and the power came back but I've restarted it 10 different times to day and the light still won't go off. Hopefully tomorrow we can plug it in at school and see what the code comes up as. I was just wondering if anyone else had problems that sound familiar.
Thanks
Cody

I had similar problem. But not as often. Do the key trick on off 3 times and see what codes come up in the odometer. Sounds like a TPS.
