Drums to discs...a little different though..
I am going to be doing a DRW to SRW swap. I have a SRW Dana 80 from a '96 with drums that is going to be put on a 2002 w/discs. Is the swap as easy as removing backing plates and drums from the '96 and then bolting on the parts from the 2002 axle? The 2002 is a DRW Dana 80. If not what might is required to do the swap?
Also, if that doesn't work, can the axle from the '96 be bolted under the 2002 with the drums intact and have them work?
Thanks

Brakes no swappee! You could use the rear drums, but everything is wrong. ABS would not be calibrated correctly. The list goes on. Change gears and upgrade to better locking diff at same time. JMHO
