Drivetrain howl?

I guess that's how I'd describe it. Happens at speed around 60mph, little less at slower speeds. One thing is odd, when I go into a right hand turn (ie, the highway or road banks right, not a right turn from stop) the noise goes away. Doesn't go away on a left leaning turn or straight. I had low tire pressure in the passenger front side but topped them both up to the same and it's still there. I did some searching and am concerned it's a transfer case bearing or something. Budget's a bit of an issue right now, is this something I can fix myself? I'm pretty decent at mechanics. Could it be something else?
Thanks.

Sounds like a front wheel bearing. Jack up the front tires and see if you feel any movement.

x2. When you jack up the front end, rotate both wheels. You should be able to hear the bad bearings. Make sure you check both- if one goes, the other might not be far behind it.

Yep, driver's side front, about a 1/16th of play at least. None on passenger side, tho' I replaced that one about 2-3 years ago.
