Draining a NV5600

Can someone please tell me which bolts to take out off the PTO cover to drain the old fluid? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the drain plug on the other side of the trans?

Yes I thought you used the bolt holes from the PTO covers on either side of the trans to drain the thing. Maybe I wrong

Use the lowest hole on the PTO cover. The NV5600 doesn't have a conventional drain plug like you would normally look for.

If you want to go the extra step, pull the PTO cover completely and clean off the magnet inside. You will be suprised what is on it.

Hope it helps.

Hum, the drain plug on the other side must have been made espically for me. Looks factory though.

No drainplug on any NV5600 I've ever seen.

If you want to do a -really- good job, take both PTO covers off, both sides. Pull the magnet out from the driver's side PTO hatch, and clean it off. (Can't get in there from the other side because of the gears and rails.) Then take a rag or paper towel and "push" out the remaining fluid in the bottom - there will be about a quart, a dirty quart, that won't drain.
