Dodge Brake Lines
Dodge Brake Lines
I had the main rear brake line rust through. Hit the brakes...foot goes almost to the floor. Pulled over and look in master cylinder, it's very low. Crawl around under truck with good clothes on looking for brake fluid.
I found it, at the frame near drivers side rear tire, brake line is all rusted up and ugly looking.
Why am I mad at Dodge AGAIN?
Well, on a truck that cost $36,000 they could at least use stainless tubing for the main line to the rear brakes. That's all.
How much more would that add to the price of the truck?
I'm just happy that I wasn't hauling down a steep hill when it let go.
Might be a good idea to give yours a look, if it's all rusted up like mine...get ready...it's coming. Had to drop the truck at a shop on the way to work. Shop just called...$203.00 to repair the line!

PA salt will do that... Try this liquid crap they spray the roads with here in MI, stuff eats through anything not covered with paint as soon as the warm weather hits and activates the salts. I take about 3 hrs to pressure wash my car once the first good thaw hits...makes things last a lot longer. Plus if you park in a heate garage all night, that salt is getting activated everytime it melts, so your going to rust a lot faster.
