Do the numbers sound normal?

Installed the commander,

My FP is 12 at idle 10 at WOT. EGT 310 at idle 940 at WOT. Tranny 150. Boost 19psi at WOT.

Quad std not installed anymore, I'm waiting for the stealth plate for VP. Brand new reman VP$$ yesterday. I just want to make sure that this is OK numbers. EGT seems high at WOT, but it is still the stock exhaust size 3"? I think. No cat or muffler.

Also once and a while at idle the FP will start to bounce around so fast that I can't tell what it is saying, but as soon as a little throttle is added it jumps to 12.

Thanks,
Jeromy

Sounds fine to me. Boost should go a little higher to 21 psi or so, but you're close. Stock exhaust size is 3 1/2" back to the 4" tailpipe. A larger exhaust would definitely be helpful; it's in my truck's future sometime also.

Those numbers sound just fine. Factory boost is anywhere from 18-21psi. EGT's are actually quite low. With a BHAF and 4" straight pipe I could hit 1250* pre turbo. An exhaust won't help you much at all on your EGT's. Maybe 50*. It's 3" from the turbo to the tip. 3" is fine for around 350-400hp then 4" becomes beneficial and somewhere around 550hp or so you should go to 5".

Bigblue,
I actually have everything to fab up a set of 5" miter cut stacks 4" from turbo. I just haven't had time to mess with them. I've heard one set and they sounded so mellow and deep vs. my straitpipe that is sharp and loud.
No more hp than I have, I know it will be overkill. But they look so cool!

Numbers sound good.
Assuming it's a mechanical FP gauge....you may need a needle valve on your fuel line to the gauge to reduce pressure and stop the bouncing needle. Works nicely as an emergency shut off too, if ever required.

Its a commander, so electric sending unit. I've put about 100 miles on it and it quit bouncing at idle now. When I install the Quad STD how much is to much on the numbers? How high EGT before I worry, how high boost, how low FP?

Thanks!

Electric FP gauges tend to bounce around a bit!

General rule of thumb on EGT's... It's not how hot you get, it's how long you stay hot!
Stay under 1200* sustained and keep it less than 10 sec if accelerating and going over 1200. Many get to 1500*+, but for only short bursts.... like it a 1/4 mile.

Many differing opinions on how low is too low for FP. I would be uncomfortable if I could pull it down below 7 psi at WOT. my $.02
