Dip stick tube
Ok ....are you ready for this one......I had to change the dip stick tube because it was corroded and leaking.....it was rotten at the bottom where it goes into the pan. So of course the Edited By Moderator thing breaks off flush......been that kinda month. So I am at work and figure the best way to dislodge the rest of it is by sending a self tapping screw into what remains of the tube........I get a good bite......use a pry bar and a little heat (don't need to blow the valve cover off) and lo and behold....it starts to move....I am thinking great....but the pos breaks again.....long story short....I managed to get the second piece out and drop (actually pry) the new one in.
Just a heads up.....take a good look at the dip stick tube where it goes into the block and if it looks weak....think about getting it replaced before it totally rots.....
now if I could just fix the G-D tc lock problem I would be a happy camper......
_28 celcius tonight....wondering if that has anything to do with it....its VERY intermediate .....grounds all done....wire wrapped in foil and speed sensor replaced in the tranny
