Digital Gauges

Is there a digital gauge package out there that will let me add senders? I have a 99 24v that I want a digital gauge for. The ones that are plug in to the OBD port don't give too much info as far as trans temp, EGT, fuel pressure and such. I'm looking for one that I can ad these functions to.

Thanks,
Travis

If you are looking for an all in one try looking at edge products. They have an eas system that allows you to add functionality below is the insight

If you want digital gauges there are at least a couple

Thanks Barry,
The Edge is mostly what I was looking for. I had missed the part on the EAS.

Anyone have any other suggestions like the CS/CTS?

I have an Edge CS Insight. I have two pressure sensors sitting and and EAS waiting to be installed. I have been very happy with my Insight. I would make one recommendation. Spend the extra few buck and get the CTS (color touch screen), by not have space wasted for buttons, you have a bigger screen. On the CTS you can fit 3 analog gauges on the screen, the CS only has room for 2 analog gauges. I wish I had realized this before I bought mine.

Tallguy....what actual useful things are you seeing right from the OBD port now?

Thanks,

If you go to the Edge Products website, you can find the specific data points the Insight can monitor through OBDII. I have mine setup right now to show 8 data points. The most important 2 for me are coolant temp. and tranny temp. I also have it display what gear I am in - that really helped me diagnose a problem I was having earlier this year which turned out to be my TC rapidly locking and unlocking. I also like road speed as my height results in the steering wheel obstructing my view of the speedometer. I can't remember right now what other data points I monitor, but if it matters to you, I will go take a look tomorrow.

I did have one problem where my Insight just died. I called Edge, they gave me an RMA number. I sent my unit in by mail and had the replacement unit in the truck in 5 business days. That seems like pretty good service to me.

Thanks for the info...I've looked at what it supposedly can monitor, but as you know there are always exceptions. Thats why I was asking what you are monitoring.

Is your trans temp from an external sender? I didn't think the 47RE's had a temp sender...

Tranny temp is coming from the sensor that is already in there. I did not need to add a new sensor.

There are a couple of nice things the Insight does, although to be honest I haven't configured them all yet. For each PID, you can set audible alerts for high and low conditions. Basically build your own idiot lights. If tranny temps gets too high - bing, bing, bing!!!

Also, with the latest software update (you do them yourself with the supplied Fusion software) you can now do data logging while driving.

I am a pretty satisfied customer, just let me know what other information I can provide. BTW - installation of base unit took about 10 mins.

I just remembered I also monitor boost and engine load %.

When I was diagnosing and engine surge problem earlier this year, I also monitored APPS percent.
