Does will your truck sound different when you get on it when its failing? When towing my toy hauler this week i noticed that when cold it sounds a lill different then it did last time i towed it? or maybe its just me?

sounds kind of choppy? (best way i could think of to describe it)

i just replaced mine last week and i never heard a difference. the only way i could tell was from my gauge which showed the pressure was bouncing all over the place. what i did notice was the LP was struggling when it was cold out; i noticed lower pressures and the bouncing behavior when the temperature dropped.

I have replaced four lift pumps and there is no difference in the sound of the lift pump or engine unless it is stumbling (missing) from fuel starvation.

The engine will be louder when it is cold and also when the temperatures outside drop to freezing or lower the engine will sound louder even when the engine is warmed up.
