Did not heed advice and truck dead, be nice
368 days since I put a LP on, and truck spins but no fire. Was just bragging about not plugging in with the sub zero temps. Love the 3 cylinder high idle warm up! Did not put in FP gauge or warning light
. First I replace the FF and cycled the key 4 times. Spin no start, break down and plug in block heater, go to work. Get home swap LP with new. Cycle key 5 times, new LP sounds much better than the 3 day out of warranty pump. Spin no fire. Crack two injector lines (removed nut completly) spin 3 times no fuel. Now my frozen butt decides to punt and called the Cummins service to get a spot in line. Call AAA for tow they "wimp" out 'cause I have a load in the bed. RV PLUS what a joke. Call REAL tow company and got truck to Cummins. Waiting until Monday for diagnosis. Only code is 1693/8? Could a crank position sensor , Sport Puck, or ULSD prohibit the IP from working??
2000 2500 4X4 Auto Long box 149,000 miles 4LP orig IP (lucky??)
Diablo Sport Puck
Last fillup with ULSD but did add White Power Service. and it ran great for 3 days after fillup.
Thanks.

Well, I told ya so. Okay, we got that out of the way, lets fix your truck.
You'll need a fuel pressure guage so now is the time to get one and put it on. If you had one before, you would have seen the LP quit sometime ago and would have been covered under warranty. (
I can't help myself)
What is the temerpature there?
Without fuel at the injector nozzles my guess is you could have burned up the injection pump. VP-44's need fuel for cooling and lubrication. A weak LP starves the IP, and you don't always get a code from the IP. (
This is getting old isn't it?)

Did you ever get fuel to the IP? Cracking the banjo bolt while the LP is running will purge the low pressure lines of air, so the VP is atleast got fuel to feed on. You may have just air locked. I know the first time I changed my fuel filter on my truck, I ran the VP dry and air locked, took a lot of cranking before it finally ran.
BIG $$ repair dead VP44
Cummins called Friday night and confirmed my diagnosis that the VP44 died. Do they die without thowing a code?
Just ordered the FP gauge and warning light. $2800. Too cold to do this outside.
