delayed wait to start lamp

delayed wait to start lamp
has anyone had a delayed wait to start lamp and i must wait until it comes on to start or it will just spin over .once comes on after 5 sec.it starts up

i have started my 01 and this 02 a handfull of times forgetting to wait for the light and it never has made a difference unless its cold, then it doesnt want to fire up for a bit...
