I will warn you now! We use this software and others at work for the big rigs, you can "turn on and off" alot of things in there, just remember before you mess around inside your "ECM" write down what it was in the begining, if you change things around and "forget" later what you did, you are SOL! There is some really cool info in there if you know what you are doing.

thanks for the warning, and the response. you would't happen to know where the factory setting falls on the fuel economy/performance scale would you?

What kind of adapter do you use to to access the "ECM"? Where do you tap in?

Careful everyone, it is a read only unless you get a P/W for your computer from your local cummins distributor. It was released for parameter and gearing help on HD and MD trucks.

You would need a Inline adapter and cable set, and no, the 2003 and later have no com port. We at Cummins can't even talk to them... DRB only.

Do download a play with it, no harm done. I have not tried to use it for a B engine, as I use INSITE. www.powerspec.cummins.com is the site. Free.

Also,, many things CAN'T be changed because we use only 50% of teh Cummins ECM. the Cummins ECM has 100Pins to control high idle, and lots of other awesome functions, but the 50Pin Dodge version ECM lets you access things like Engine Hours and Highest recorded RPM.

Good luck
