ok my vp44 pump went out this weekend luckally i was close to home and i was looking for a good price on a new pump and came accross this forum where a guy took the wording in the warrenty book that the cummins has a 136k warrenty here is the link to read it may have been addressed befor on here but i thought i would bring it up for the new people like me i love the site and love the help thanks guys hope this helps some of you

Check out this thread and read down to what Thomas wrote. He won and I am going thru the same crap right now. In the warranty book it clearly states in black and white the cummins diesel engine is warranted for a period of 5 years or 100k and goes into effect after the dodge basic 3/36.
If you have any mods done tho the truck they will fight you.

what do you mean by mods do you think they would fight it with just exhaust and an intake if i take out my tuner.

Keep in mind that the Cummins warranty starts when your basic warranty ends. Thats either 3 years, or 36k miles, whichever is first. If they don't have records of your trucks mileage along with dates, they could say that the basic warranty was miled out in the first 6 months. Just something to be aware of, and not just take it as an 8 year/136k warranty.
