Cruise Control issue

When I set my cruise it seems to loose speed then kick off. This happens after it's been on for over 10 mins and on long trips. I tried to speed it up by depressing the excel/resume, but, that quits working too.
I've heard it could be the servo located under the drivers side battery?

What you're talking about is the vacuum pod located under the drivers side batter and the common cruise control not working problem is that old battery corrosion can drip on the vacuum line, causing the cruise control to no longer work. But your problem sounds like that might not be the issue. Are you sure your cruise is vacuum controlled? Some are electronic but I think that may only be the case for the newer 2nd gen trucks.

I'll take a look and let you know what I find.
Thanks
