Crank case breather leaking

I have a stock 99, the crank case breather is leaking pretty bad and oil is starting to cake on the radiator. Is this a dealer only item or do parts stores not call it a crankcase breather?

If you mean the puke bottle, some people re-route away from the radiator. Lots of discussion some with pics & parts list. You may need to pull & clean the radiator if you run hot for instance under load or going up a hill. Can't really clean it installed.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
The simple fix is take the puke bottle off and extend the hose down till clears frams or just slightly above bottom of oil pan. Many more elaborate systems are presented by others.
Installed a new vinyl hose to a one quart bottle mounted in front of left battery. Stuck another hose onto top of bottle and ran it down. cut a hole in top of metal bottle for incoming hose to slide down into.
Regualr heater hose will swell up.

I had the same issue with my truck when sledpulling. I installed a breather in my valvecover and I ran the hose into my drivers side frame rail under the cab. I'm eventually gonna put it into the rocker panel to keep it from rusting. Get creative!
