I found a crack on the intake manifold between the #3 and #4 runners, I read in another post that in these turboed engines, the intake manifold is under pressure at ALL times and not vacum like a non turbo gas motor, is this true? Is this a common problem? if under pressure, that would explain the reason I had to accidently find it, the engine does not seem to lack any power and runs just fine, if anything a little low on boost in the intake, is that correct ?

What do you guys recomend, replace it with a bone-yard peice, weld it, or is there something aftermarket reasonably priced that is not out of this world.

Weld it up, I assume you mean the Intake top plate? If you mean on the side, time for a head if you don't want to weld it up.

 

Correct, the manifold pressure is about equal to atmospheric pressure at idle and can build up to 22 PSI (stock engine) above atmoshperic pressure. That would create a boost leak, but not a major one. Unless the crack is wide.

If it is the manifold itself, it is made of aluminum and can be welded. If the head is cracked, that will need a lot more work to fix.
