Cracked Block?

Seems like it would be a HUGE cost to replace them.....so Cummins/DC just sweep it under the carpet and HOPE that they dont crack under warranty. If it cracks when its off warranty they usually get PAID to repair the damage. One member here had DC quote him 15k to replace his #53 - How would ya like to see that quote???? 
If mine cracked when it was off warranty Im pretty sure Id be going to a bombed 12V....but thats just me.
