CPS...Where is it?

Hey guys.....My check engine light came on and the mech at the dealer where i bought the truck checked with the dianostic and said its the Crankshaft P S.....Truck runs fine the light goes off then a day later comres back on....So instead of trying to drive the hour 45 to the dealership i got it today...

Where should i look to find this?

I havent gotten my repair manual yet.....

I assume disconnect the neg batt cables and switchout...

thanks...

Just follow the dip stick tube down to the block, it is the sensor right next to it, as a matter of fact the dip stick mounting has a bend to miss it.

The starter does have to be removed I'll try to put a link to the instructions that I used...http://www.dodge-diesel.org/articles/cps/ckp.htm It wasn't hard at all, infact I did this between classes in a parking lot at school. Hope this helps.
