Codes and NO FUEL...need help please
Aight I have 3/4 of a tank of fuel. Just got my EZ box back on. I've put 26 miles on it and while I am sitting at the beer store, my fuel guage drops to below zero, the low fuel light comes on. I turn it off and turn it back on and the gauge was still at zero. I know I have fuel. Oh and I checked codes and I got a 1693(companion) and a 0234(I assume is overboost). Any idea why the codes and why the fuel gauge quit working?

Probably two seperate things. The fuel gage is a common problem, have to pull the tank or bed and replace it. Forty some dollars if I remember right. The boost code, if it is, I did not reference it, shows up on mine some times, every six months or so. Best to clean the sensors and see if that stops it. Or the sensor could be bad. That is if you don't have a boost leak from a boot or whatnot.

I agree with High country, As far as your codes are concerned, they will go away after 40 warmups or you'll need a scanner like obd2 to erase the codes. I had a loose connection on my EZ where it connected to the map sensor and once I went over 22lb's, two codes were generated, 1693 and 0234. If you drive without the EZ installed you have to watch your boost or remove the boost elbow and reinstall the stock elbow. Good luck.

Ok, the 0234 code makes sense because I drove it with the boost elbow in while my EZ went back to Edge. How expensive;what sensor;how hard to replace; and do you guys think it is covered under the warranty since the LP and IP are? Also what sender mod are you talking about high country?

If you drove it with the boost elbow in and the EZ removed, just forget about it. To be sure if it worrys you, go to Autozone and they will read the codes and remove them. If it does not reset, you don't have a problem. All the computer is telling you is that you ran too much boost. The EZ is a boost fooler so that the elbow can be run with higher boost.

Not sure if you are talking about the tank sender, that would be out of warranty, not an engine part but a body part. The boost sensor is probably ok but if you went in with the elbow in it they sure would not warranty it.

Yea I am not worried about the boost code. Is it a fault code meaning that it will defuel the engine or is it just there for FYI? How much is the tank sender? I will have to add it to the list of things to do.

I don't know where you are in Dallas, but if you need Cummins parts go here:
