Codes... again

Trucks runnin fine... just checked the codes and it's spitting out a P0500 and a P1693... any ideas?? the only mod i've got is a K&N air filter...

P0500 says it a speed sensor reading?? Can someone shed some light on this situation?

Thanks!

P1693 is the companion code - tells you another code has been set. Very likely, that is pointing to the P0500. Usually the P0500 code is set from spinning the rear wheels. You can disconnect the batteries to see if it goes away, or it will go away by itself in after a number of starts.

If it doesnt go away, the speed sensor is located on top of the rear diff. You can remove it and clean it up and in most cases that will fix it. My guess, is that it has been set by spinning the tires.

Either way, its not a real big deal.
