More than likly you will be needing a new vp44 (IP). Check fuel pressure to it first. But it's probly on it's way out. Sorry.

 

1693 is a "companion" code, just means there are other codes in there that aren't going to display in the window. 0216 is BAD news, start shopping for a new VP-44. You can play the game and wait it out, but will likely end up with a tow bill to add to your parts bill.

What kind of fuel pressure are you seeing?

I've read there are some parts of the VP that are not too hard to replace or fix , dig a little deeper and save some money , hopefully .
